If you’re arriving on the Friday, you’re welcome to arrive anytime after 13.00. This will give you plenty of time to relax and unwind before the braai. Please check the Q&A page before you arrive to make sure you have everything you need.

This is the perfect opportunity for everyone to get to know each other. Please bring your own food and drinks, as the braai will be self-catered. You’ll have access to a fully-equipped kitchen and braai area, which also features a lounge, infinity pool, bonfire area, and stunning views of the reserve and mountains.

A light breakfast will be served at the guest kitchen near the braai area.

Lunch won’t be provided by the lodge due to the staff setting up for the wedding, so please make sure to cater for yourselves. You’ll have access to the guest kitchen to prepare your meals as needed.

As parking is limited, please try to drive together if possible. The ceremony venue is just a 10-minute drive away, and you won’t need to leave the reserve. We kindly ask that all guests arrive at the ceremony venue at least 30 minutes before the ceremony begins.

The ceremony will take place at the Fig Tree venue.

For our guests staying at nearby lodges, we hate to say goodbye, but please be ready to leave by 10pm to avoid being locked out of their gates. We just want to make sure everyone gets back safely.

The DJ will stop and the bar will close at midnight, but fear not! We’ll have a speaker ready to keep the music going softly in the background, and you’ll be able to bring your own alcohol into the boma afterwards. We’ll also have the bonfire going! Just a quick reminder—no outside alcohol at the reception before then.

In case anyone’s feeling a bit fragile after the previous night’s activities, don’t worry—there will be a full breakfast to help you recover before you set off.

When you’re ready to leave, please leave the key in the unit’s door. You won't need to head to reception unless you need to settle any accounts, or to say your goodbye’s.
